THE WORK OF THE MOBILE GROUP OF THE CITY OF SHYMKENT.
A mobile group consisting of representatives of the Prosecutor's Office, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Internal Affairs and the city of Shymkent and the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” on January 5, 2024, toured the farms of the city as part of the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
TRAINING: "PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS WHEN WORKING WITH VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE."
Aspart of the organization's activities in the field of protecting the rights of women and children, on December 26-27, 2023, a 2-day training on the topic was held at the office of the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim”: “Psychological aspects when working with victims of domestic violence” for representatives of the unit for the protection of women from violence of the Police Department of the Turkestan region.
PROTECTION OF VULNERABLE MIGRANTS WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN THE CONTEXT OF MIGRATION IN CENTRAL ASIA.
Every year on December 18, onthis important day dedicated to migrants, we are proud to share the results of one of our significant projects! Within the framework of the IOM regional project "Protection of vulnerable migrants with a special focus on women's empowerment in the context of migration in Central Asia", supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, we have provided mini-grants to women in migration with an entrepreneurial initiative.
We present to you several success stories of our beneficiaries in the video format. Look at how these amazing women in emigration, thanks to support, successfully develop their microbusiness, integrate into society and expand opportunities.
THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS OF THE “ASTRA Network”
On December 14, 2023, the ASTRA network gathered enthusiastic people at the annual meeting. The staff of the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” were pleased to become part of a community that unites various organizations in Central and Eastern Europe, committed to sexual and reproductive health and rights, stronger than ever.
SEMINAR ON THE APPLICATION OF PROCEDURES FOR DETERMINING STATELESSNESS.
On December 13, 2023, a seminar on the application of procedures for determining statelessness in Kazakhstan was held in Astana with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
LAUNCH OF THE PROJECT "IMPROVING MIGRATION MANAGEMENT AND ACCESS TO SERVICES FOR DISPLACED AFGHANS IN PAKISTAN AND CENTRAL ASIA.
On December 10, 2023, PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” launched the project "Improving Migration Management and Access to services for displaced Afghans in Pakistan and Central Asia", implemented jointly with the International Organization for Migration in Kazakhstan.On November 28, 2023, we launched an important mission aimed at supporting vulnerable migrants, including Afghans and their family members in Shymkent city and Turkestan region.
CONFERENCE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL LEGAL NORMS.
In the light of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Commissioner for Human Rights, together with the National Center for Human Rights and International Organizations, held an international scientific and practical conference "Implementation of international legal norms ensuring human rights into national legislation" on December 10, 2023. Theevent was attended by deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of government agencies, international organizations, NGOs, ombudsmen of the Turkic states, public opinion leaders and other experts.
The conference included three key sessions:
MEETING OF THE COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS UNDER THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN.
On December 8, 2023, ameeting of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The First Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akmadi Adilovich Sarbasov, spoke at the meeting. He shared important information about the activities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, highlighting the measures taken in the field of combating human trafficking.
Specialemphasis was placed on the innovative implementation of digital cards, which opens up new opportunities in the social protection system.
THE ROUND TABLE "OUR DUTY IS TO PROTECT WOMEN."
Eventswithin the framework of the republican campaign "16 days without violence" are actively continuing. Today, on December 6, 2023, a round table on the topic "Our duty to protect women" was held in Saryagash district of Turkestan region. The meeting was organized by the Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the Governor of Turkestan region.
