THE WORK OF THE MOBILE GROUP IN SHYMKENT
On January 19, 2024, a mobile group consisting of representatives of the Prosecutor's Office, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Internal Affairs and the city of Shymkent and the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” toured the farms of the city as part of the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the mobile visits is to raise public awareness about human trafficking and identify cases of labor exploitation. The representative composition of the group provided an extensive overview of the problem and the dissemination of information materials on non-governmental organizations providing assistance to victims throughout Kazakhstan.
A TRAINING FOR THE PUBLIC DEFENDERS
Withinthe framework of the project "Kazakhstan's Actions in combating child trafficking", with the support of the US Department of State and implemented by Winrock International, a training for Public defenders against child trafficking has successfully begun in Almaty. From January 16 to 18, 2024, 31 people from the cities of Almaty and Shymkent, as well as from Kyzylorda, Turkestan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions and Zhetisu region will take part in this event.
UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION ON MIGRATION IN KAZAKHSTAN: NEW CHANGES IN LEGISLATION.
In December 2023, the Head of state signed an action plan in the field of human rights, which paid special attention to migration issues. The plan, consisting of 8 parts and 41 paragraphs, has 6 sections devoted to the rights of migrants, stateless persons and refugees.
Oneof the main stages of the plan's implementation is innovation in national legislation. According to the proposal, a new paragraph has been added to the 5th chapter of the order "Procedure for admission to citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a simplified manner (registration procedure)".

TRAINING: "PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS WHEN WORKING WITH VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE."
Aspart of the organization's activities in the field of protecting the rights of women and children, on December 26-27, 2023, a 2-day training on the topic was held at the office of the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim”: “Psychological aspects when working with victims of domestic violence” for representatives of the unit for the protection of women from violence of the Police Department of the Turkestan region.
PROTECTION OF VULNERABLE MIGRANTS WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN THE CONTEXT OF MIGRATION IN CENTRAL ASIA.
Every year on December 18, onthis important day dedicated to migrants, we are proud to share the results of one of our significant projects! Within the framework of the IOM regional project "Protection of vulnerable migrants with a special focus on women's empowerment in the context of migration in Central Asia", supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, we have provided mini-grants to women in migration with an entrepreneurial initiative.

The staff of the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” were pleased to become part of a community that unites various organizations in Central and Eastern Europe, committed to sexual and reproductive health and rights, stronger than ever.
SEMINAR ON THE APPLICATION OF PROCEDURES FOR DETERMINING STATELESSNESS.
On December 13, 2023, a seminar on the application of procedures for determining statelessness in Kazakhstan was held in Astana with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
LAUNCH OF THE PROJECT "IMPROVING MIGRATION MANAGEMENT AND ACCESS TO SERVICES FOR DISPLACED AFGHANS IN PAKISTAN AND CENTRAL ASIA.
On December 10, 2023, PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” launched the project "Improving Migration Management and Access to services for displaced Afghans in Pakistan and Central Asia", implemented jointly with the International Organization for Migration in Kazakhstan.On November 28, 2023, we launched an important mission aimed at supporting vulnerable migrants, including Afghans and their family members in Shymkent city and Turkestan region.
