INFORMATION CAMPAIGNS IN TURKESTAN DEDICATED TO THE WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

On July 30,2021 the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the staff of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" called on the residents and guests of Turkestan not to remain indifferent to the problem of human trafficking and to actively contribute to the protection of victims' rights.

ACTIONS DEDICATED TO THE WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

On July 30, the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" together with representatives of the media and law enforcement agencies organized and conducted an information campaign against human trafficking on one of the busiest central streets of Shymkent, the Arbat. During the campaign, leaflets about human trafficking in Russian and Kazakh languages, calendars and other memorable souvenirs with the slogan #IAmAgainstHumanTrafficking were distributed and handed out to people present on the Arbat. The staff of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" would like to thank the Criminal Police Department of Shymkent city and the Kazakhstani newspaper "Vremya" for help in conducting the campaign.

30 JULY THE WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

Celebrating the 30th of July - the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, we call on residents and guests of the city not to remain indifferent to this problem and to actively contribute to the protection of victims' rights. It is important to note that the coordinated work and interaction of non-governmental, state and law enforcement organizations such as PA LCWI "Sana Sezim", government organization "Samgau Senim" and the Shymkent Criminal Police Department in the fight against human trafficking is an integral part of the joint efforts.

INFORMATION CAMPAIGNS ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING PROBLEMS

Every year, the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" organizes and participates in events dedicated to the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, which is celebrated 30th July.

THE MARATHON - THE WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

On July 26, 2021 the eve of 30 July, the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons partner NGOs from Central Asia implementing the project "Safe Migration in Central Asia" united to highlight the problem of human trafficking through the organization of a marathon. Through this marathon, the Kazakhstani NGOs Sana Sezim, Zharia, Rodnik, Meyerim, Taldykorgan Regional Centre for Women's Support and Daris will participate and share information related to human trafficking and will also pass the marathon on to partner NGOs from other Central Asian countries.

THE SECOND SUMMER SCHOOL AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS HAS FINISHED, JULY 23-25, 2021

On July 23, 2021participants learned more about the reasons why traffickers exploit people and how they choose their victims. Learning about the psychological aspects of identifying trafficked persons, the volunteers learned how to interact with trafficked persons and what questions to ask when conducting interviews. In order to consolidate their knowledge in practice, they were asked to film short interviews in small groups, with one volunteer being the interviewer and the other being the trafficked person. After watching all the videos together, staff members of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" noted the creativity of the guys and gave feedback with corrections and additions.

THE SECOND SEVEN-DAY SUMMER SCHOOL ON COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING, July 21-22, 2021

The third and fourth days of the summer school were intense for volunteers from 11 regions. Trainers shared their knowledge and experience, while volunteers actively participated in sessions and interactive games.

THE SECOND SEVEN-DAY SUMMER SCHOOL ON COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Within the framework of the project "Together against Human Trafficking through CSO Capacity Building!", the second seven-day summer school on combating human trafficking was organized at the Tau Samaly recreation area in the Turkestan region. Volunteers, selected from 11 cities in Kazakhstan upon recommendation of the NGO partners gained new knowledge about the problem of human trafficking and consolidated their knowledge through interactive games and group exercises during the daily sessions.

TRAINING IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT "TOGETHER AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING THROUGH CAPACITY BUILDING OF CSOS!"

On July 13, 2021 another training in the framework of the project "Together against human trafficking through capacity building of CSOs!" brought together in Shymkent leaders and lawyers of NGO partners of the project from 11 regions of Kazakhstan.

Partners developing in the same direction have the opportunity to gain knowledge and share knowledge with each other in a friendly atmosphere. It is important to note that the event was organized in compliance with all sanitary norms and social distance.
