INFORMATION BOARDS ON THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF MIGRANTS WERE INSTALLED AT THE KAZAKHSTAN-UZBEKISTAN BORDER

In order to prevent human trafficking, information boards on the rights and responsibilities of migrants were installed at three border crossing points (BCPs) on the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border.

As part of the Safe Migration in Central Asia project, supported by USAID and Winrock International, migrants can learn about the rules of entry and stay in Kazakhstan at Kazygurt, Zhibek Zholy and Kaplanbek BCPs in Turkestan oblast. The information stand, where the 24-hour hotline of the center "Sana Sezim" is indicated, is designed in the Kazakh, Uzbek and Tajik languages. Migrants can also read the information booklets and brochures prepared by the NGO "Sana Sezim".

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We hope that as a result of our cooperation we will prevent facts of human trafficking.
