From 1 through 5 November 2011 a training seminar on the program “General course of mediation” organized by the “Konsensus” Center of Mediation, jointly with the Kazakhstan Center of Mediation (Almaty) and NGO LCWI “Sana Sezim”, was held.

Nowadays, there is big experience in our country of resolving the problem in inter-personal and partnership relations with the help of various efficient and practically proved alternative ways of resolving the conflicts. To some of them used to prevent and solve the dispute and conflict, is considered a mediation. This practice of preventing a conflict situation represents a mediation, intervention with the aim of reconciliation. The objective is that two or more parties meet on the neutral third party which carries out the negotiating process, listening to the conflict parties and helping them to come, if possible, to the solution, upon which everybody benefits. The ultimate goal of mediation is the peaceful solution of the dispute and conclusion of mutually beneficial agreement between the conflict parties. With help of mediation almost every single conflict is resolved.

The objective of training seminar:obtaining the knowledge, skills, necessary for the activities of professional mediator. During the seminar not only the essence of mediation is disclosed, as its stages; substance; basic components of mediator; instruments applied during the process of mediation.

After the seminar the participants will be able to apply the knowledge and skills received in their day-to-day life and professional activities. Training was completed by playing evaluation which included two levels of testing the knowledge and skills of mediator: theory (interview) and practical skills (imitational mediation). Those successfully passed the training, have received the Certificate according to the Law of the RK “On mediation” dated 28 January 2011 and the Resolution of the Government of the RK No. 770 dated 3 July 2011 about the rules of preparing the mediators.
