On September 10, 2021a discussion took place on the Concept of Migration Policy for 2022-2026, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Organization for Migration.

During the discussion on migration issues with the participation of representatives of state organizations such as the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international organizations such as the UNHCR, as well as international experts, research institutes and NGOs, recommendations on the further 5-year migration policy of the state based on the analysis of the current migration policy were presented. The issue of migration was considered from the dimension of migrant workers, internal migrants moving from south to north, Kazakhstani workers working abroad, repatriates, refugees and academic migration.
