THE SECOND SUMMER SCHOOL AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS HAS FINISHED, JULY 23-25, 2021

On July 23, 2021participants learned more about the reasons why traffickers exploit people and how they choose their victims. Learning about the psychological aspects of identifying trafficked persons, the volunteers learned how to interact with trafficked persons and what questions to ask when conducting interviews. In order to consolidate their knowledge in practice, they were asked to film short interviews in small groups, with one volunteer being the interviewer and the other being the trafficked person. After watching all the videos together, staff members of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" noted the creativity of the guys and gave feedback with corrections and additions.

On July 24, 2021volunteers learned about preventive work on human trafficking. The participants were interested to hear about the types of prevention work, especially about organising and conducting information campaigns. Having studied the theoretical part, participants started working in teams, where they were given the task to suggest ways to improve prevention work in the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim". Staff members of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" welcomed volunteers' creative ideas and suggestions.

July 25, 2021was a memorable one for the participants, when the most active team among volunteers was chosen, and certificates were handed out. Staff of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" would like to thank the NGO partners and volunteers for their active participation in the events organized within the project "Together against human trafficking through capacity building of civil society organizations!” We hope that the knowledge and skills acquired by the volunteers will be useful in further work to counteract human trafficking.
