THE SECOND SEVEN-DAY SUMMER SCHOOL ON COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Within the framework of the project "Together against Human Trafficking through CSO Capacity Building!", the second seven-day summer school on combating human trafficking was organized at the Tau Samaly recreation area in the Turkestan region. Volunteers, selected from 11 cities in Kazakhstan upon recommendation of the NGO partners gained new knowledge about the problem of human trafficking and consolidated their knowledge through interactive games and group exercises during the daily sessions.

On July 19, 2021the participants got to know each other and were divided into four teams, each of which took turns in morning exercises and recreational activities. Thanks to the team building games, by the end of the first day the cohesion of the participants had been strengthened and the trust between them increased, which contributed to a better understanding of the summer school.

On July 20, 2021lawyers of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" familiarized volunteers with such topics as human rights and national and international legislation on human trafficking. Participants watched documentary films and videos on human trafficking. The PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" staff shared their experience in providing assistance to victims of trafficking. The second day of the camp ended with a game "Find the treasure" and a thematic evening dedicated to the culture of other countries, organized by the first team of volunteers.

According to the feedback received on the third day, participants particularly remembered the report about the Kazakhstani citizens who were exploited in Moscow and were subsequently assisted by the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" staff.
