Project timeline: May 2004 - May 2005

To increase public awareness on domestic violence against women through psychological, legal, and educational programs.
To decrease the number of assaults in the community, prevent deviant behavior (suicides, alcohol addictions, crimes and etc.) and decrease psychological discomforts in families.
To increase the quality of the psychological and legal assistance for victims of domestic violence including women and children.

Developed more effective institutional base for domestic violence against by distributing information and increasing professional level of organizations
Informed community about causes of domestic violence and existing legal and organizational mechanisms of protection
Increased awareness of women and use of organizational mechanisms and legal bases
1,000 women received psychological assistance on the confidential telephone hotline
Provided 300 individual psychological consultations
