PA LCWI “Sana Sezim" has launched the “Safe Migration Project” in Shymkent and Turkestan region. The project is carried out with financial support of USAID’s “Safe migration in Central Asia” project, implemented by Winrock International. The aim of the project is to raise awareness on Countering Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) and safe migration among the at-risk population (particularly designated for different groups, including youth, men and women) using innovative methods through social networking and ICT tools, printing and distribution of information materials where it’s necessary.

The project will include youth, migrants, labour inspectors, health and education sector officials, migration officials and the private sector. Legal and humanitarian assistance will be provided to migrants stuck at the border of Kazakhstan with Uzbekistan.
