«Protection of children in migration processes in Shymkent city and Turkestan region» with the financial support of the UN Children's Fund UNICEF
Project Timeline: April 20, 2020 - April 20, 2021.
Project geography: Shymkent city, Turkestan region.
Project goal: children in migration processes are protected and enjoy their rights.
Target group: At least 70 girls and boys in Shymkent and Turkestan region will be provided with social services using case management technologies, namely:
- children who migrate or are forced to move outside their home country (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan);
- children who migrate or are forced to move within their own country;
- children migrating on their own or with their parents / persons replacing them;
- children abandoned by emigrating parents;
- children, regardless of whether they move with or without appropriate documents, including victims of trafficking or human trafficking.
Expected results:
- The capacity of government officials / service providers to reach children in migration processes with services has been strengthened.
- An increase in the number of services in Shymkent city and Turkestan region guarantees the access of all children affected by migration to social services.
- Standard operating procedures developed; a referral system has been created, multisectoral collaboration and community links have been strengthened.
- Migration centers or border checkpoints are equipped in accordance with the specification approved by state authorities, which will be agreed upon and implemented as part of our program.
