Timeline: November 2008 - November 2010

Objective:

• Provide access to justice for women in the South Kazakhstan Region, whose rights have been violated.

Project Partners:

• Legal representatives from the Association "Civil Alliance of the South Kazakhstan Region"

Projected Results:

• 140 women in the South Kazakhstan Region, whose right to access justice has been violated, will be able to fully realize this right through better knowledge of institutional mechanisms and legal frameworks.
• 60 representatives from law enforcement, judicial, and executive bodies in the South Kazakhstan region will be receive training in protecting access to justice.
• 2000 women in the South Kazakhstan Region will receive psychological counseling from the telephone hotline.
• 1000 women in the South Kazakhstan Region will receive individual psychological counsel.
• 1000 women in the South Kazakhstan Region will receive individual legal counsel.
• 700 families, whose rights have been violated, will receive social work assistance.
