NATIONAL DIALOGUE “PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF MIGRANT WORKERS AND COMBATING TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN”

26-27 September, 2019, in Nur-Sultan, the National Dialogue “Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers and Combating Trafficking in persons in the Republic of Kazakhstan” took place as part of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Dignity and Rights” implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

NGO “Sana Sezim” together with NGO partners of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the discussion and development of recommendations for the working group on the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Regulation of Migration Processes”. Recommendations on the protection of the rights of migrant workers and on combating trafficking in persons were voiced on a dialogue platform with the participation of MP Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Committee for Social and Cultural Development Musyrman Karibay Imanzhanuly and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Labor, Social Protection and Migration, Ministry of labor and social protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Raiganiyev.
