The congress of women of Kazakhstan was held on the 5^th March 2011 in Astana, it was devoted to 20 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and timed to the International Women’s Day, 8^th of March with participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The aim of the congress- discussion of the role of women in social and political and social and economical developments of the country, identification of perspectives for further development of state’s gender and family and demographic policies, elaboration of mechanisms for expansion of women’s participation in realization of strategic line of development of Kazakhstan.
