Project area:Shymkent, Almaty, and the Turkestan, East Kazakhstan, and West Kazakhstan regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Project objective: Strengthening the principles of the rule of law and democracy in the Republic of Kazakhstan by promoting deeper engagement in the constitutional system of Kazakhstan.
The project focuses on three main objectives:
- Strengthening the capacity of civil society, including legal consultants, independent experts, and lawyers, to enhance their competence in protecting the rights and representing citizens' interests in government agencies and the courts.
- Raising awareness among young people about constitutional guarantees and opportunities to protect their rights in the courts and the Constitutional Court.
- Enhance legal culture and deepen understanding of the role of the rule of law and the primacy of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in protecting citizens' rights.
Expected results:
- Increased legal literacy among citizens and young people.
- Formation of an amicus curiae expert pool in Kazakhstan.
- Popularization of decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan among the general public.
- Increased citizen participation in law enforcement processes.
