On March 17 and 19, 2021,under the USAID-funded "Safe Migration in Central Asia" project implemented by Winrock International, the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" conducted a two-day training on "Capacity Building of State Agency Representatives to Provide Services to Victims of Human Trafficking" in Shymkent city and the Turkestan Oblast.

During the training, more than 30 government officials, including representatives from the Department of Health, Education and Labor Inspection, received information on types of exploitation, national legislation on human trafficking, identification of human trafficking cases, and interagency cooperation in identifying and assisting victims of human trafficking. The theoretical part was later reinforced by working in small groups, where participants discussed the signs of the types of exploitation and how to recognize them.
