On 24 October 2011 a meeting was organized in the office of NGO  “Sana Sezim” with the Council of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the RK Mr. I. Sarimsakov, Secretary of the Committee on Legislation and Court Legal Reforms of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the RK Ms. S. Bychkova, IOM Coordinator in the RK, Ms. S. Bekmambetova and UN Women Coordinator in Kazakhstan, Ms. A. Ilyassova and the representatives of the Tajik Diaspora and labor migrants from Tajikistan within the activities of the Center of cooperation for migrants in Shymkent city.

On the meeting, problems and difficulties of migrants in the RK were discussed, as well as issues related with obtaining the residential permit and citizenship in the RK, access to education for children of migrants.
