Regional training on Child Labor monitoring (CLM)

On 12 through 15 September 2011 a Regional training on Child Labor monitoring (CLM) was held in Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan. Representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan took part in the training seminar.

During the training international documents in the field of prevention of the worst forms of child labor were discussed, also the specialties of child labor monitoring.

The aims of training:

  • Improve knowledge and understanding of participants about the CLM as a conception, essential steps in development and implementation of CLM, and also about the differences and approach in building CLM in various sectors;
  • Review the experience of implementation of CLM in each of the countries and to detect problems, strong and weak sides, and factors promoting the successful implementation of CLM;
  • Develop the design of CLM for each country and develop the plan on its implementation.
