NATIONAL TRAINING "SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF MIGRANTS IN KAZAKHSTAN"

On April 18-19, 2019 in Aktobe, the national training “Social Integration of Migrants in Kazakhstan” was held for state, non-governmental and private organizations in the framework of the Regional Project “Strengthening the fight against human trafficking and protecting vulnerable migrants in Central Asia in the context of regional and global challenges” funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.

PROJECT "TOGETHER AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING THROUGH CAPACITY BUILDING OF CSOS!"

On April 1, 2019, the NGO Sana Sezim launched the “Together against human trafficking through capacity building of CSOs!” Project, funded by the Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. The 36-month-long project aims to increase access to justice for victims of trafficking by building the organizational capacity of civil society organizations and the judicial system to combat human trafficking in Kazakhstan.

Throughout human history, migration has been a courageous manifestation of the will of the individual to overcome all adversity and achieve a better life. Today, as a result of globalization and advances in communications and transport, the number of people who are seeking and who are able to move to other places has increased significantly.

The second meeting of the Coordination Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan

On October 16, 2018, the second meeting of the Coordination Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Astana within the framework of the joint program of the European Union and UNICEF «The protection of children in migration processes». Representatives of state bodies, academic organizations and NGOs participated in the working meeting (from the NGO «Sana Sezim» participated Liliya Khaliulina).

Regional seminar «International and regional cooperation to curb illegal financial flows related to trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants»

From October 9 – 10, 2018, the regional seminar «International and regional cooperation to curb illegal financial flows related to trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants», was held Almaty and was organized by UNODC. The seminar was carried out within the framework of the UNODC regional program for Afghanistan and neighboring countries in collaboration with the Global Initiative on Preventing and Combating Trafficking in Persons and the Smuggling of Migrants- GLO.ACT.

Fifth meeting of the highest officials of the state parties to the Almaty process

From September 27 – 28, 2018, the fifth meeting of the highest officials of the state parties to the Almaty process took place in Bishkek. Withinthe framework of the meeting, issues of population mobility in Central Asia, the rights of vulnerable categories of migrants and refugees, and new opportunities for regional cooperation were discussed.

From September 25 – 26, 2018, the instructiona ltrainingon thetopic: «Assistance in cases of domestic violence and stalking in practice. Legal framework» took place in Almaty.

Simulation exercise «Countering human trafficking on migration routes»

From September 24 to 28, 2018, the first simulation exercise «Countering human trafficking on migration routes» based on the regional hub to combat global threats in Astana, took place in Russian language in Astana.

Roundtable „Safe Migration and Implementation of the Action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of the concept of migration policy 2017-2021"

On September 6, 2018, a roundtable on the theme: “Safe Migration and Implementation of the Action Plan of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the 2017-2021 concept of migration policy 2017-2021” was held in Shymkent within the framework of USAID’s project “Dignity and Rights” and with the support of IOM in Kazakhstan.
