On November 26, 2020,a conference on Prevention of gender-based violence and increasing women's access to justice was held as part of the "16 days without violence" events. The conference was organized by the National Commission on Women's Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan, together with the OSCE Office of Programs in Nur-Sultan, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR OSCE), the UNWOMEN in Kazakhstan, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Public Foundation НеМолчиKZ. The event was aimed at identifying actions to prevent and end gender-based violence and to address challenges in women's access to justice.

Every year, PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" participates in the UN campaign "16 days of active action against gender-based violence." Information campaigns are carried out in schools, streets, markets and other public places where the population is most concentrated. Due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to implement most of the activities online this year.

From November 25 to December 10, 2020,the following events are planned to be organized:

• Information campaign with NGO partners and law enforcement agencies on the streets of Shymkent and Turkestan region;

• Coverage of the problem of gender-based violence among NGOs at the IX Civil Forum of Kazakhstan;

On November 17, 2020the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" in the framework of the project "Protecting Children in Migration Processes in Shymkent and Turkestan Region", sponsored by the UNICEF, provided outerwear and personal protective equipment and hygiene for children receiving assistance under the project. The children are temporarily staying at the Center for Adaptation of Minors of Shymkent city. Within project, the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” documents parents and children, thus facilitating family reunion.

On November 15 and 16, 2020the staff of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" has provided humanitarian aid to migrants from the Republic of Tajikistan on the border of Uzbekistan with Kazakhstan at the checkpoint "Zhibek Zholy". Within the framework of the project "Safe Migration in Central Asia" funded by USAID and jointly implemented with Winrock International, 200 migrants received legal advice and hot meals within these two days.

On November 12, 2020the II Civil Forum "Society and State: 30 years of partnership and development "Birgemiz" took place in Shymkent.

On November 9, 2020in the framework of the pilot project on creation of mobile groups in the regions for information and preventive work in the field of combating trafficking in persons with the support of the Migration Agency of the UN, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan were organized visits and meetings with local administration representatives and the population of Saryagash and Keles districts of Turkestan region.

On November 6, 2020a round table on “Identification and Provision of Legal Assistance to Stateless Persons in Kyzylorda City and Kyzylorda Region” was held.

The round table was attended by the Department of Immigration of Kyzylorda City’s Police Department, the Department of Immigration of Kyzylorda Region’s Police Department, the Adaptation Center of Kyzylorda, the City Employment Center, the PA “SSBW” and the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim”.

The PA LCWI "Sana Sezim" staff distributed hot meals to migrants at the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border at "Zhibek Zholy" checkpoint during the period of 4 days, from October 29 to November 1, 2020. This time 140 migrants from the Republic of Tajikistan waiting at the border were provided with humanitarian assistance under the project "Safe Migration in Central Asia" funded by the USAID and implemented jointly with the Winrock International.

On October 27, 2020,the annual Regional Forum on Combating Human Trafficking in Central Asia was launched on the theme "Strengthening Cooperation between Interregional Civil Society Organizations."

On October 20, 2020,a conference of plenipotentiaries of the association was held at Civil Alliance of the city of Shymkent. The reporting conference discussed the activities of NGO members of the association in 2019-2020, including support and assistance provided during the outbreak of COVID-19.
