In Shymkent, a training was held organized by the PA "Legal Center for Women's Initiatives 'Sana Sezim'" with the support of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). The event aimed to strengthen the professional competencies of specialists working with women facing discrimination, violence, and barriers to accessing justice.
Training Objective:
To enhance the capacity of government agencies, social services, and NGOs to more effectively protect women's rights and ensure a gender-sensitive approach when handling cases.
During the sessions, participants:

  • Explored current challenges that limit women’s access to legal assistance;
  • Examined the specifics of working with undocumented women who face additional risks;
  • Learned gender-sensitive approaches for police, medical staff, and social services;
  • Studied interagency coordination mechanisms, including information-sharing procedures and collaboration between services;
  • Participated in practical case studies, analyzing real situations and response strategies;
  • Discussed measures to prevent repeated violence and provide comprehensive support to survivors.

Results:
Participants highlighted the importance of a systematic approach, interagency coordination, and practical tools to support beneficiaries. Certificates were awarded at the end of the training.
The project continues to strengthen justice and support for women, creating conditions where everyone can access timely assistance and protection of their rights.
