September 26, 2025
On September 26, 2025, the first training session within the project “Access to Justice for Women through the Promotion of Gender Equality” took place at Secondary School No. 31 named after V. Tereshkova.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). Instead of dry lectures, the training offered live discussions, team assignments, and unexpected insights. Students learned about the history of human rights, discussed equality between women and men, took part in quizzes, challenged stereotypes, and tried the exercise “5 phrases that limit me.”
Videos and group discussions helped participants look at familiar issues from a new perspective, while the atmosphere of trust made the training informal yet highly engaging.
The training was conducted by the team of PA "Legal Center for Women's Initiatives Sana Sezim", who managed to turn complex topics into an accessible and inspiring experience.
And this is just the beginning! Ahead are more training sessions that will encourage young people to develop leadership, speak openly about equality, and build a generation that knows its rights and how to protect them.
