Project Timeline: July 1, 2025 – March 31, 2027

Project Geography: The city of Shymkent and the Turkestan region.

Goal: to improve legal mechanisms to combat gender equality through the training of government officials and law enforcement personnel, educating youth in rural areas, raising awareness about women's rights, and providing comprehensive legal assistance to victims of gender-based violence.

The project goals to focus on three main objectives:

• raising legal awareness
• transforming law enforcement practices
• providing legal and social assistance

Expected long-term results:the project will contribute to the formation of a more just and equal society through significant advancement of gender equality. Strengthening civil society and improving institutional practices will lead to an increase in the number of complaints about rights violations, successful consideration of cases and, ultimately, to stronger protection of women's rights and the transformation of public culture towards the acceptance of the principles of gender equality in South Kazakhstan.
