«Protection of vulnerable migrants with a special focus on women's empowerment in the context of migration in Central Asia» with financial support from the International Organization for Migration in Kazakhstan and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affair

June 24, 2024 – March 31, 2025.
Project Geography: The city of Shymkent and the Turkestan region.
Objective: To transform negative beliefs, values, attitudes, behaviors, norms, and practices at the community level regarding women affected by migration.
Target Groups and Beneficiaries:
- Women Affected by Migration who will receive necessary legal and social support under the project.
- Government and Law Enforcement Personnel, including district police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Shymkent and the Turkestan region, staff from the Department of Migration Police in Shymkent and the Turkestan region, as well as professionals in the education and healthcare sectors, such as social workers who work directly with families and communities in Shymkent and the Turkestan region, including migrants, women, and children.
- Community Leaders supporting SBCC program activities, including Human Rights Commissioners in Shymkent and the Turkestan region, and representatives of the Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the akimats of Shymkent and the Turkestan region.
