INTERNATIONAL ROUND TABLE "IMPROVING MECHANISMS FOR THE PREVENTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES"
On January 31, 2024, an international round table "Improving mechanisms for the prevention of human trafficking in Central Asian countries" was held. This event is an annual January event of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized jointly with the OSCE Program Office as a regional hub for combating global threats.
Duringthe round table, an analysis of the current state of anti-trafficking policy in the Central Asian region was carried out. The participants discussed innovative approaches and prevention measures for human trafficking and identified gaps in the prevention of human trafficking.
The event is aimed at bringing together different groups, including researchers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, representatives of government agencies, international organizations and non-governmental organizations. In her speech, the director of the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” Khassanova shared information about the preventive measures carried out by non-governmental organizations in the field of combating human trafficking in Kazakhstan.
