Atthe initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, mobile groups have been created in the regions of Kazakhstan to conduct educational and informational events, explanatory work among the population on the prevention of human trafficking and identification of victims of labor exploitation. The participants of the mobile groups have drawn up and agreed on a schedule of visits to the districts of the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent to carry out active identification (identification) of victims of human trafficking, including potential ones. Mobile groups organize meetings with the public:

• Toinform about the problem of human trafficking and forced labor;
• Informingabout criminal legislation and legal acts providing assistance to victims;
• Toshare knowledge about the signs of human trafficking and contacts that can be contacted.

Themobile group for the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent included representatives of the following bodies:

• Prosecutor's Office;
• UBOPDP (Department for Combating Organized Crime DP);
• Laborinspectors;
• Lawyersof the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim”.

Currently, a schedule of visits to the districts of the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent has been drawn up and approved by the participants of the mobile groups. The participants of the mobile group have already traveled through 4 districts of the Turkestan region. The next departure took place on November3, 2023, in Tulkubass and Sairam districts of Turkestan region.

It is expected that, if information is received, an inspection will be organized in accordance with current labor, administrative, and criminal legislation.
