In anticipation of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, which is celebrated annually on July 30, an event was held to raise awareness of trafficking in children among the staff of the Municipal Perinatal Center in Shymkent.

Maternity center staff play a critical role in identifying and preventing child trafficking cases, as they are on the front line of interaction with parents and newborns. Their awareness and ability to recognize suspicious situations can save many lives.

This event was made possible thanks to the cooperation of NGO "Sana Sezim", Department for Combating Organized Crime of Shymkent PD, KSU "Center for Special Social Services #3" in Shymkent, Line Police Department at Shymkent Airport and Line Department of Internal Affairs at Shymkent Station. This event once again proves that events of this kind allow to unite the efforts of various organizations and services to prevent child trafficking and create a safe environment for every child.
