Project Timeline: April 29, 2022 - October 30, 2023.

Project Geography: Shymkent city and Turkestan region.

Target Group: migrants, young people, representatives of the private sector, labor inspectors, employees of the health sector and education, employees of migration authorities.

Goal:promotion of safe migration, reduction of risks of human trafficking and other forms of exploitation and support to victims of human trafficking in Shymkent city and Turkestan province.  

Objectives to achieve the goal:

Objective 1:Raise awareness about human trafficking (TIP) among people at risk, including vulnerable migrants and local communities. Raise awareness of businesses about ethical standards of recruitment and prevention of TIP. To empower victims of TIP by involving them in the activities of TIP.

Objective 2.To implement Smart Navigator (SN) prevention program for young people on THB, and to ensure its sustainability.

Objective 3.Promote local referral mechanism in the region in cooperation with the Akimats of Shymkent city and Turkestan region, i.e. local executive bodies .

Objective 4.Providing direct assistance, legal and psychological counseling to victims of human trafficking and vulnerable migrants, counseling and referring them to state, non-governmental and private organizations for training and employment.
