On October 14, 2022 the III Republican Mazhilis of Public Councils took place in Astana, which was attended by members of the Public Council based at the Academy of Public Administration from all Oblasts of the Republic, where they discussed the important aspects of the effective work of Public Councils at all levels and in all spheres.

At the plenary session on practice and mechanisms of interaction with the state and society took part Mynbay D.K., the deputy of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kydyr D.K., the minister of information and social development of RK, international organizations, as well as known activists, experts and scientific figures.

In spite of the fact that in Kazakhstan the law about public councils was adopted not long ago, activity, interest and caring attitude of all representatives was felt. After all, the members of the Public Council are a bridge between the people and the Government, represent the interests and help solve socially significant issues that concern all the people.

After the formal plenary session, there were plenary sessions, in which the members of the PC in the open discussion and question-and-answer format touched on important issues that need more attention:

- Develop a communication strategy and plan for the PC to communicate to the public on a large scale about PC activities using ICT;

- strengthen cooperation with civil society institutions, experts and the international community

- to increase funding for the PC secretaries;

- To develop a unified format for the selection of the members of the PC and algorithm for the involvement of experts;

- to regulate the regulatory and legal activities of the PCS;

- to provide the PC activities with the methodology;

- to establish continuous interaction with the media, etc.

There was a very interesting session "Formation of the evaluation system of public councils", the moderator was R.S. Oshakbaev, the chairman of the PC on the activities of internal affairs bodies. There were a lot of speakers, it was possible to discuss the system of evaluation of the activities of the CB. Representatives from different Oblasts shared their experiences, and the Community Council of Shymkent, together with other participants offered their recommendations for further work.

As a member of the PC on the activities of internal affairs bodies and the city of Shymkent, I think that the Second Republican Majilis of public councils in the near future will bring results and the recommendations made will be implemented.
