On April 5, 2022, employees of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim", the Migration Service Department of Turkistan oblast and the Migration Police Department of Saryagash district of Turkistan oblast held public meetings with citizens to document stateless persons in the city of Saryagash. This event is held within the framework of the national identification campaign on statelessness in Kazakhstan, as well as the international campaign #IBelong to reduce statelessness.

Together with employees of the migration services, stateless persons were received and given advice on documentation at the "Office for the Reception of Citizens" in Saryagash. UNHCR's partners – the PA LCWI 'Sana Sezim' and KIBHR are currently holding similar meetings throughout Kazakhstan. The next city in the south of Kazakhstan, where public meetings will take place, will be Taraz.
