On March 30, 2022in Nur-Sultan the first meeting of the Public Council on the activities of internal affairs bodies with the participation of Akhmetzhanov Marat, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The meeting was held in a hybrid format: online and offline.

The Public Council consisted of well-known public figures, lawyers, human rights activists and representatives of mass media. Shakhnoza Khassanova, Director of the PA LCWI "Sana Sezim", representing civil society also became a member of the Public Council.

At the first meeting of the members of the Public Council, the chairman of the council and the members of the presidium were elected. They discussed directions of activities, Statute of the Public Council and work plan for 2022. In his speech, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RK noted the importance of reforming the Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure the constitutional rights of all citizens.
