On December 24, 2021 a meeting of the Coordination Council of the National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.

At the meeting, moderated by Ms. Elvira Azimova, participants discussed the preparation of the consolidated report on the results of 2021 of the system of prevention of torture and other forms of cruel treatment and punishment and approval of plans of preventive visits for 2022. Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RK, Ministry of Defense of the RK, National Security Committee of the RK, Ministry of Health of the RK, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the RK and Ministry of Education and Science of the RK shared the achievements of organizations on the implementation of recommendations provided in the reports of participants of the National Preventive Mechanism for 2019-2020.
