In September and October 2020,within the framework of the project "Protection of Children in Migration Processes in Shymkent City and the Turkestan Region" with the support of the European Union and the UNICEF in Kazakhstan, the PA LCWI “Sana Sezim” organized a campaign to provide humanitarian assistance in the form of personal protective equipment and bags with hygienic means to migrants stuck on the border of Uzbekistan with Kazakhstan on the “Zhibek Zholy” checkpoint.

450 information sheets, with information on safety measures during COVID-19 and contact details of project partners, developed in the framework of the project were distributed. Humanitarian assistance had reached 450 migrants, 45 of them women and 15 children. In addition, migrants received mobile legal consultations.
