On July 29, 2020 Forum of Social Workers was held on ZOOM platform, which was organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MLSPP). The Forum was moderated by the Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Aukenov Erlan Muratovich.

The total number of Forum participants was 300 people, these are deputies of Mazhilis and Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Interdepartmental Council, the Commissioner for Human Rights, heads of Medical and Social Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSI), heads of the Social Protection Departments of all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of civil society, etc.

At the Forum, in the first place, proposals were made to improve MSI. 174 proposals for the Republic of Kazakhstan were submitted, of which 3 proposals for amendments and additions to the "Civil Code" and "Code on public health and the health care system", 14 proposals on amendments and additions to the Laws "On special social services", "On social protection of disabled people in the Republic of Kazakhstan", “On the status of a teacher", "On public procurement", "On state social order", 1 proposal to amend and supplement the Government Decree "On the system of remuneration of civil servants, employees of organizations supported by the state budget, employees of state-owned enterprises”, and 156 proposals for amendments and additions to the Orders of the MLSPP. Also, a draft order on Methodological recommendations for social workers in the field of social protection on professional ethics of behavior in the performance of official duties was presented, as well as information was provided on the results of monitoring the implementation of 22 recommendations from the MLSPP on the activities of the local self-government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the discussion, it was announced that Kazakhstan is carrying out a large interdepartmental systematic work, including the deputy corps, social councils, etc., at different sites, as well as at the site of "Nur Otan" Party in terms of the quality of work of social workers and the work of MSI in general.
