March 28, 2020 the first departure of NGO “Sana Sezim” staff to the border of Kazakhstan with Uzbekistan (Zhybek Zholy checkpoint, former Cherniaevka) was organized to provide humanitarian aid to migrants awaiting the possibility of returning to their homeland. This trip was made possible with the support of the IOM of the UN Agency in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the time of the provision of humanitarian aid, representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, law enforcement agencies, representatives of Akimat, who assisted the staff of the NGO “Sana Sezim” in distributing personal protective equipment (disposable masks and gloves, antiseptics, antibacterial wipes), were located at the border for migrants. It should be noted that thanks to cooperation with IOM the UN Agency and the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan more than 600 migrants received humanitarian aid.
