I SUMMER SCHOOL ON COMBATING TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

From 5 to 11 August, 2019, in the framework of the project “Together against human trafficking through capacity building of CSOs!”, funded by the US Department of State, the I Summer School on Combating Trafficking was held in the Burgulyuk gorge (Shymkent), in which participated volunteers from 11 regions of Kazakhstan. The program included both theoretical and practical tasks for independent work in groups, discussions and games.

Over seven days of training, volunteers learned about the concept of trafficking in persons, the specifics of working with potential victims, the criteria and psychological aspects of identifying victims of trafficking in persons, about the features of conducting information campaigns. In the future, it is assumed that volunteers trained in the summer school will participate in information campaigns and disseminate information on the issue of trafficking in persons in the framework of this project.
