CENTRAL-ASIAN REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON "APPROACHES PRACTICED WITH THE INTERACTION OF THE POLICE WITH THE POPULATION TO ELIMINATE ROOT CAUSES LEADING TO THE SUPPORT OF VIOLENT ACTIONS AND PARTICIPATION IN VIOLENT GROUPS IN COUNTRIES C -5"

On May 02-03, 2019 in Dushanbe, a Central Asian regional conference was held on “Approaches applied in the interaction of the police (police) with the population to eliminate the root causes leading to the support of violent actions and participation in violent groups in countries C -5". During the conference, the parties got acquainted with the work done, and also shared their experience with each other in the field of interaction between law enforcement agencies and the population. Unfortunately, today the population in remote regions continues to ignore and does not want to turn to law enforcement agencies in a particular life situation when their rights are violated or an offense occurs.

Therefore, the aim of the Conference was to exchange lessons learned from the implementation of a pilot project on the interaction of the police and the public to address the root causes of support for violence and participation in organized criminal groups. The conference was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, civil society organizations and representatives of the communities involved in the interaction of the police and the community, where they shared their experiences and achievements in effective communication, coordination and cooperation between the C-5 members. The issues of security and interaction between state structures of the C-5 countries were also discussed. The conference raised questions on the fight against organized criminal groups, involvement in religious, ethnic and interethnic hatred and other violations of public order. Prevention of violations, joint work of public organizations and law enforcement agencies, raising the legal awareness of society and other pilot projects aimed at ensuring public safety. So during the conference of the C-5 countries, a dialogue and exchange of experience took place, further plans for ensuring public safety and crime prevention were also considered.
