From 24 – 25 June 2018 the Central Asian regional seminar “Needs and Rights of Women and Girls affected by Labor Migration in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and Ways of their Implementation” was held in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe.

Aimof the seminar – validation of the results of the study and development of an awareness-raising plan aimed at meeting the needs of women affected by migration in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, found in a study of their vulnerabilities, needs and access to services and government programs. In the future, the results of the research can provide an additional picture for state and non-governmental organizations and point out the issues that need attention in this field.

The event was attended by representatives of state bodies and the civil sector (from the NGO "Sana Sezim" participated - Shakhnoza Khassanova) of the Central Asian countries. The organizers were IOM Central Asia and the UN-Women
