On 9 February 2018, within the framework of a joint project with UNHCR, the NGO“Sana Sezim” started to conduct the large-scale information campaign among the population of the Kazakhstan region on reducing statelessness by distributing booklets and business cards.

Thanks to cooperation with the transport department of Shymkent and "Gerb and K" LLP, information stickers and a video on documenting persons were placed in buses. The purpose of the information campaign - identify stateless persons, persons who do not have documents and persons with a red passport; to provide them with free legal assistance in getting documented in the future.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed with higher education institutions (SKSU named after M. Auezov, SKPU, Miras University) to reduce statelessness. Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to hold seminars, discussions, lectures on issues of statelessness and a meeting on the World Refugee Day in South Kazakhstan for students of the faculty "Jurisprudence" and "International Relations" with the involvement of representatives of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
