Technical Expert Meeting on SDG statistics

From 15-27 September 2017, the technical meeting on SDG statistics was held in Borovoye.

The main issue of the program of the annual session of the UN General Assembly this week will be the assessment of global progress in achieving the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDG), the UN consensus road map designed to solve the world's biggest problems by 2030.

Objective- development of a monitoring system for the Sustainable Development Goals up to 2030.

Representatives of state bodies, business structures, scientific researchers, non-governmental organizations (from the NGO "Sana Sezim" participated – Yusupzhanova, Shahlo) and international organizations participated in the technical meeting.

Participants examined global indicators for their "nationalization" and the definition of additional national indicators to monitor the achievements of the SDGs. The working meeting was organized with the support of the World Bank and the UN agency. The meeting was organized by the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
