Regional Training for NGOs to Provide Direct Assistance at the Integration and Reintegration to Victims of Human Trafficking and Vulnerable Migrants

From 6 – 8 September 2017, the regional training for NGOs to provide direct assistance at the integration and reintegration to victims of human trafficking and vulnerable migrants was held in Astana within USAID’s program “Dignity and Rights” and was implemented by the International Organization for Migration in Central Asia (IOM) and the project "Responding to migration flows through capacity building in Central Asia", Phase III, funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration of the US Government (PRM USA).

Objectives:

  • Discussing the vulnerabilities of migrants and their needs for integration / re-integration.
  • Development of recommendations to provide direct assistance to vulnerable migrants, both in the countries of destination and in countries of origin, which would complement the own capacity of States.
  • Strengthen regional cooperation between civil society organizations and local partners.

The event was attended by NGOs – partners of IOM, co-workers of employment centers, local authorities and IOM, responsible for providing direct assistance to migrants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. From the NGO "Sana Sezim" participated the lawyer – Kaliulina Liliya
