From 4 -5 September 2017, the thematic seminar “The Rights of Migrants to Health Care and Access to Health Services” was held in Astana and was organized by IOM for representatives of central and local authorities, public organizations (working in the field of protecting the rights of migrants and their access to health services), as well as diasporas, employers, diplomatic missions and international organizations.

Objectives:

• Strengthening the capacity of relevant ministries and agencies responsible for migration and health, NGOs, diasporas and employers to ensure migrants' right to health and access to health services.
• Informing participants about the norms of international law, best practices and ongoing initiatives to provide assistance / advice to migrant workers, organizing and providing access to human rights mechanisms
