On 25 November 2016, the round table “Identification and Provision of Legal Assistance to Stateless Persons in the SKO” for representatives of state and law enforcement bodies took place in Shymkent. The round table was held within the framework of the project “”Provision of Legal Assistance to Stateless Persons” with the financial support of UNHCR.

During the round table, following topics were illuminated: Statelessness - as a global phenomenon; the results of the stateless persons’ identification campaign in the Republic of Kazakhstan; the results of the project of provision of legal aid to stateless persons in South Kazakhstan; and the formation of an anti-corruption culture in the region.
