Training “Human Rights and Fair Employment of Foreign Labor Force”

From 2 – 3 June2016 the training “Human Rights and Fair Employment of Foreign Labor Force” took place in the frame of USAID’s project “Dignity and Rights”, which was implemented by the International Organization of Migration (IOM) of Kazakhstan.

The main purpose of the training was to enhance the capacity of public and private organizations in the approach to labor migration based on human rights. The participants of the training learned about the standards of human rights and the current situation of labor mobility in Kazakhstan. They gained knowledge about the opportunities to expand the rights of labor migrants, including the right to access to information, social services and the corporate responsibility for the observance of human rights. From the NGO “Sana Sezim” actively participated the lawyer Liliya Khaliulina.

The trainers were: Bogna Khmelevska, Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (Warsaw), international expert  and Anara Ibraeva, NGO “Kadir Khassiet” (Astana), national expert.
