Project Timeline: 1 October 2015 – 30 September 2016.
Geography project: South Kazakhstan Oblast, Shymkent city.
Objective: provide access to justice to human traffic victims by providing legal assistance.
Expected Results:
- Provide 1200 consultations in order to prevent human traffic and identify human traffic victims.
- Conduct two-day training on combating human traffic and human traffic victims.
- Over 1000 people will receive consultation on telephone hotline.
- Issuing and distribution of 2400 booklets “Principles of personal safety” for potential human traffic victims in order to prevent and inform about safety measures.
- Establish a Workgroup from the representatives of state and law-enforcement organizations in order to develop recommendations to enhance legislation in terms of combating and preventing human trafficking.
