Training for Trainers “Mechanism of protection of human rights by providing access to justice” was held in Shymkent on 9 – 11 February 2015 for 20 undergraduate lawyer students. This ToT was conducted by representatives of NGO “Legal Center of Women’s Initiatives Sana Sezim” within the framework of realization of the project “Human rights protection by providing access to justice” under the financial support of US Embassy.

The objective of ToT was training and legal support of 20 undergraduate lawyer students on human rights, access to justice and applying the legislation in case of violation of human rights among socially vulnerable population.

ToT for lawyer students was aimed to increase their legal awareness, how to use mechanisms of protection of human rights, in particular, interests of socially vulnerable population in state, court and law-enforcement organizations. Upon the results of ToT the participants received essential knowledge and skills on how to review court cases, development of strategy and tactics of how to handle with legal proceedings, how to assess advantages and disadvantages of using legal mechanisms of human rights protection, including international practices.

ToT was attended by Ms. Dinara Karkabayeva, Project Manager of US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
