The second decade of XXI century goes on, but the softening of manner including  the relationship between a man and a woman have not observed yet. Only for the last year 7468 crimes committed against women were registered in the South Kazakhstan. And this is just the official number. But how many tragedies are behind the high fence and behind the closed doors where almost no disclose of screams for help?

Psychologist of NGO “Sana-Sezim” Vera Zakutnyaya gave two examples from the recent practice.

The first example. Madina (name is changed) got married for love .Then she recognized that she is pregnant and hurried to tell to her husband about it. She expected that he would be happy. But life presented her the first lesson-husband insisted on abortion, explaining that the time is not ripe, they are young, they have to look after his parents, brothers, sisters, and keep their huge home. Madina hoped she could convince him but her beloved  had changed: began to shout, humiliate, even hit a few times, he took her  mobile phone and controlled so she could not contact with relatives ask for help. Later she decided to take the extra step for her-divorce. She suggested to the husband disperse peacefully. The replay was, “Now you belong to me and my family. You have to be submissive and silent! To clean, do laundries, cook, and keep the house, listen all over me and my parents. You will give the birth to the child only when I want it, when I give you permission.  All her movements at home were controlled; the husband began to lock up her in the house, forbidden to communicate with their neighbors, for the “misdemeanor” husband beat her.   Then Madina decided to run away. One day she was sent to meet the “first aid”- mother in law had a hurt attack. And she ran into the store, managed to call mother ask for the help. Mother turned to the NGO… Madina returned at parent’s house. She was provided with the psychological and legal help, she intended to divorce with her husband and now she is waiting for the birth of child.

The second example Alia(her name is changed) called the «confidence telephone» of the center. She is married, they have entered into a religious marriage, they have two children. Scandals are constant in their family because of the unwillingness of her husband to keep her and children. Youngest Bakhyt often comes to his mother and asks to eat. Alia gives her portion but she has to feed her breast-son too. . .

The legal center rendered her psychological support and worked at improving self-esteem, helped to develop a sense of self confidence. The lawyer of the center helped her with drawing up the documents for child support and the maintenance of the woman while a small child reaches three years old and she cannot get a job.  Alia wants to save her marriage and to give their children a family full of love. Many of our women are in such situation but not everyone knows how to act. We share this information. Psychologists say that we should be able to . . . quarrel, build and finish the conflicts. But we do not need that. Under the hot hand we “build” it. That’s why we are not surprised that in our country many of crimes were committed (4878) in the legal residence, 454- in workplaces, 1964-in public places. According to  the date provided by the major inspector of the Public Security Department of Internal Affairs of SKR, Police Major Alma Sergazieva , the most vulnerable group of women, exposed to  violence is unemployed and  not studying women -1633, after them hired women workers-292,  private entrepreneurs-282 , students of universities and colleges -176. Among the offenders are the acquaintances (in 381 case), the other women (113), husbands (72) and close relatives (42), partners (31). “Rating” of the most common types of crimes committed against women is: thefts-4503, robberies-833, frauds-489, and hooliganisms-257, rapes-170,   banditries-145, intentional damages to health of medium gravity-66, arbitrarinesses-39, the violations of private property-31, the murders-27, violating acts with sexual character-24, intentional inflections of serious harm to health-21. As you see, the forms and types of violations against women are in many guises. DO NOT put up with them!

On March 12-14 the action “A house without violence!” will be conducted in our Republic. The initiator of the action is Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan.
