16 days without violence

This international campaign is held annually around the world by the First Institute for Women's Global Leadership. As early as this week, residents of our area will be able to take an active part in the campaign.
From November 25 to December 10, the Commission on Family and Women Affairs, in collaboration with the South Kazakhstan Akim and the Legal Center for Women's Initiatives “Sana Sezim”, will hold a series of events as part of the international campaign “16 days without violence”. The organizers stress the importance and relevance of the topic, because violence against women in the world has become the size of an epidemic, comparable to HIV and AIDS. During their lives, these women are exposed to beatings, sexual harassment, and infringements on their rights. That is why on November 25, the International Day Against Violence Against Women, people from all over the world come together to draw attention to one of the most common forms of human rights violations.
From November 25 to December 10, the women's issue will be most pressing. Within the framework of the campaign, qualified legal and psychological assistance will be available in the office of NGO “Sana Sezim”, a “hotline” will be operated, and people will be able to take part in events “Your day without violence. Call!”, “Children against AIDS”, a drawing contest “I am against violence and slavery”, and a seminar for activists of the Civil Alliance of South Kazakhstan on “Education skills of non-violence and conflict resolution”, etc.
This is another part of the tremendous work being done in our country to promote gender equality and advancement of women in society. Lovely lady, she will have a good chance to get rid of the problems that are not part of any civilized, democratic society.
